Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CleanCode Enterprise handles personal information through our business website, enquiries, accounts, and website and software development services. It covers those activities; individual products and client systems may require their own privacy notices. We consider Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) when handling personal data.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

CleanCode Enterprise is responsible for information collected for our own business enquiries, website accounts, and administration. When we develop or maintain software for a client and handle their users' data under their instructions, the client generally determines why and how that data is used. Their privacy notice and our project agreement govern that processing. Contact the relevant client about data in their system, or contact us for help identifying the appropriate organisation.

2. Information we collect

Required fields are identified in the relevant form. If you do not provide information needed for an account, request, or project, we may be unable to provide that service. Other information is optional.

3. Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver and support agreed work, manage accounts and payments, prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Depending on the activity, we rely on your consent, steps to enter into or perform an agreement with you, legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating a secure business where permitted by law. Optional browser caching requires your choice. Any direct marketing requires the applicable consent; account creation and cookie choices do not give us permission to send marketing.

4. Sharing and service providers

We share information only where needed to provide a requested service, administer our business, protect rights and security, or meet a legal requirement. Recipients may include authorised staff or contractors and providers of hosting, file storage, communications, payments, or professional services, according to the services you use.

Service providers should handle information only for the relevant purpose and under appropriate confidentiality and security arrangements. We do not sell personal data. Some website libraries, fonts, or other assets are delivered by external providers; loading them sends normal connection information, including your IP address, to that provider.

5. International processing

Hosting, communications, and other suppliers may process information outside Ghana. Where this occurs, we use appropriate contractual and security measures and consider the requirements of applicable data protection law. Ask us about the suppliers relevant to your project if you need specific hosting or location requirements.

6. Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose: enquiries and project records are kept for the relationship and any necessary legal, accounting, or dispute period; account information is kept while needed to provide and secure the account; security records are kept as needed to investigate and prevent misuse. Retention and return or deletion of client project materials are addressed in the relevant agreement. Cookie-choice retention is described in the Cookie Policy.

We use measures such as access controls, password hashing, protected sessions, and request validation to reduce security risks. No system is completely secure. Contact us about deletion or retention questions; some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved matters.

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about how your data is used, access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, and deletion or restriction where appropriate. You may object to qualifying processing, withdraw consent for future processing, and refuse or stop direct marketing. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

Use the contact details below to make a request. We may need reasonable evidence of identity to protect your information. You may also raise a concern with Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

8. Children and client systems

Our business website is not directed at children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorisation, please contact us. School or other client software may handle children's information under the relevant client's instructions, lawful authority, safeguards, and privacy notice.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and display the revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before using information for a new purpose.
